Making the thing work when thousands of people are watching.
I've been at the intersection of creative technology and live events for most of my career. These days that mostly means building generative AI activations at Adobe for flagship events like Summit, MAX, and Cannes Lions, while also managing on-stage executive demos and production setups. The tools change. The job is always the same: make the thing work when thousands of people are watching.
I've been at Adobe for 19 years, which I realize sounds like a long time until you consider that the role has barely repeated itself twice. Started in web and multimedia, landed in events in 2015, and have spent the last few years figuring out what it looks like to run live AI work at scale. That includes everything from Firefly API integrations to TouchDesigner pipelines to whatever needs to get built between now and showtime, sometimes in the middle of Times Square, sometimes in iconic venues like the Sydney Opera House.
Before Adobe, I got my start at Belgium's largest media company, building award-winning online experiences for TV shows like Idols, Big Brother, and Miss Belgium. From there I went freelance as a designer and developer, working with brands like Pepsi, Sony, MTV, and Coca-Cola. Moved to California in 2011, and have been based in Las Vegas since 2017.
Outside Adobe, I make and DJ progressive and melodic house music as Grish, with releases on Enormous Chills. And I build TouchDesigner tools under the Unit72 name.
